The Nigeria – Sao Tome & Principe Joint Development Authority [JDA] was established in 2002 to manage activities in the Nigeria – Sao Tome & Principe joint Development Zone [JDZ]. The oil finds in the ]DZ – the rich non hydrocarbon resources typical for the Gulf of Guinea region – mark the beginning of a new era for the countries

To ensure the efficient development of the resources in the Joint Development Zone [JDZ] for the mutual benefit of the two countries. This will help consolidate the existing bilateral relations between the Government and peoples of the two nations and serve as an enduring example for other countries of Africa and the world to emulate.
